Behavioural Science for Organisations
in a Complex World
Better decisions begin with better understanding
Every decision, every conversation and every outcome is shaped by human behaviour.
Yet organisations often focus on policies, processes and procedures while overlooking the three forces that determine how people actually think, decide and act.
The POD Model provides a practical framework for understanding behaviour by examining the interaction between Potential, Opportunity and Drive.
It is the interaction between these three forces that shapes behaviour.
When you understand behaviour, you can influence outcomes.

Why Good People Make Poor Decisions
Organisations rarely fail because people lack intelligence or skill.
More often, they fail because behaviour is shaped by factors that remain hidden.
Teams Underperform
Conflict Arises
Initiatives Stall
Culture does not change
This reframes the question.
Rather than ask, "Why won't people do what we want?"
We ask, "What is shaping their behaviour now, and what needs to change to improve outcomes?"
Turning Behavioural Science into Practical Decisions

Leadership and Decision Making
Improve judgement and decision-making under uncertainty, when information is incomplete, priorities compete and consequences matter.

Organisational
Behaviour
Identify the factors shaping how people and teams actually behave - not just how policies and processes assume they will.
Conflict and Communication

Understand the behavioural dynamics behind difficult conversations, disagreement and conflict - and how to navigate them constructively.
Organisational Development

Apply behavioural science to change, culture, systems and performance to create lasting, measurable improvement.
Behavioural Science Grounded in Real-World Experience
PRACTICE RESEARCH APPLICATION

Rebel Bridge Studio was founded by Dr Danny Kett following a 30-year career in policing, combining operational leadership with more than 18 years’ experience in hostage and crisis negotiation.
His work brings together behavioural science research and implementation, experience of decision-making, communication and problem-solving in complex, high-pressure environments.
A lecturer in higher education, Danny's doctoral research examined how behavioural science can improve complex problem-solving and led to the development and evaluation of the POD Model.
